Skiffieworlds 2019, Stranraer St Ayles Skiff Project 

That the Parliament congratulates Stranraer St Ayles Skiff Project on being selected to host the international coastal rowing event, Skiffieworlds 2019, in July; appreciates the support of Stranraer Water Sports Association and Stranraer Rotary Club with this; notes that the week-long event will attract visitors from across the world and bring immense economic benefits to Stranraer; understands that over 1,000 competitors, including from the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, and up to 75 boats, are expected to participate in what are the world championships for the St Ayles Skiff class of coastal rowing boat; recognises the hard work of all of the partners involved who helped secure the event; appreciates the importance of the scenic and beautiful Loch Ryan and the wider area to the overall success of this, and wishes all those involved every success for the event.
